BAND NEWS

Our middle school bands participated in All-Band Night held on October 6 at Peden Stadium. Students were excited to have the opportunity to perform at Peden and did a great job of joining with the 6^th grade and high school bands to give an excellent performance. The first concert for our 7^th and 8^th grade bands will be held at Athens Middle School on Tuesday, November 21 at 7 PM.

Both bands will perform musical selections they have worked on in class this fall, including a saxophone feature for the 7^th grade and music with Russian and Native American influences for the 8^th grade. We hope many family members and friends will plan to attend our first concert to enjoy the talents of our middle school band members!

Thanks for all you do to support your child’s musical endeavors. We have the reputation for excellence in our band program, which is only possible with the continued hard work of our students and support of our parents!
