Ohio Disabled Benefits

• Benefit: Free motor vehicle license plates.
  
• Eligibility:
  1. Veterans who have received the automobile grant from the VA.
  2. Veterans with a service connected disability rated at 100% by the VA. (excludes unemployability and temporary ratings under paragraphs 28, 29, and 30.)
  3. Former prisoners of war.
  Evidence requirements: VA letter.
  Responsible agency: Bureau of Motor Vehicles -- Gratis Section.
  

Handicapped Parking Card

• Benefit: Free handicapped parking card.
  
• Eligibility:
  
  1. Veterans with disabled veteran license plates.
  2. Veterans with a service connected disability rated at 100% by the VA. (excludes unemployability and temporary ratings under paragraphs 28, 29, and 30.)
  3. Veterans with a service-connected handicap, i.e., loss of use of one or both legs, of one or both arms, or blind or deaf, or so severely handicapped as to be unable to move about without the aid of crutches or a wheelchair.
  Evidence requirements: Bureau of Motor Vehicles records for category (1). VA letter for categories (2) and (3).
