a) Spouses and children (between 18-26 years old) of veterans when death
or permanent and total disability was the result of service in the Armed
Forces.
b) Spouses and children of service personnel missing in action.
Generally, the period of eligibility extends for 10 years after veteran's death or listed as missing. The VA determines eligibility dates.
