- University Mall is a 300,000 square foot complex which includes
Big Bear. We currently have 24 retailers, three anchor stores
-- Elder-Beerman, K-Mart, J.C. Penney and two restaurants -- Great
Steak & Fry and Dairy Queen. Staff includes the General
Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, and maintenance staff of six.
The Maintenance Supervisor directs all building and exterior
activities. The General Manager is responsible for all
marketing (i.e. radio, newspaper advertising, promotions, etc.),
development of lease leads, coordinates mall merchants association,
accounts receivable/payable, general office duties, public and store
relations. We try to be actively involved in the community
wherever possible. The Farmer;s Market is now at the
University Mall on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
- Requires high school diploma or GED up to two or four year degree
in business or marketing depending on position.
- Skills vary according to position but may include manual skills,
math, good communication and interpersonal skills, organization and
management, computer.
