ACCESS FOR TEACHERS
At many schools there are terminals available in the library or computer
lab that can be used to log into SEOVEC as described above. Please see
<> for further information.
There is often dial-up access available through a school district.
Dial-up access will allow you to use the service at home or other location
through a modem. This dial-up access is usually only available in the
evenings or on weekends. To find out about dial-up access in your
district you should contact your superintendent or school contact person.
It is also possible to telnet to SEOVEC. The telnet address would be
'seovec.ohio.gov' (no quotes).
TEACHERS
TO LOG INTO THE SEORF SYSTEM
Two methods available to teachers.
BE SURE TO LOG OFF WHEN SESSION IS COMPLETE!
Method 1:
At the name prompt (NAME$) enter> INET
At the first menu choose 2 (Internet Resources)
At the next menu choose 16 (SEORF)
You can now log into SEORF with your user name or as a guest.
Method 2:
Many schools have "pass through" accounts for SEORF. By using a pas
through account you use a special login and password to SEOVEC that takes
you automatically to SEORF. Please see your district's contact person or
Kathy Sampson (cc_ksampson)
for more details.
After logging into SEORF you will be at the main screen and should choose
the area desired by pressing the up or down arrow to highlight the desired
item and then the right arrow to select.
