GLOUSTER MEMBER OF COUNCIL
Three Questions
What do you propose to do to get
increased law enforcement in Glouster?
McManaway:
We received money from the Government to hire another
Policeman for the Glouster Police Department, we have
to keep him for at least four years, they pay for
there. We are putting a three mill levy
on the ballot to pay for the fourth year.
Eberts:
Try to get funding from grants or any other places to get
funding
Giroski:
Believe it or not its probable to late!? Police Dept has 4 employees full time; but now the village must look at laying-off one or two off them. There is a levy on the ballot to help save the jobs; but the health care costs should have been taken care off a long time ago. But the current 4 council members must have been asleep and now it’s HEART ATTACK time! So unless the current council does something in this election cycle it will be to late.
What is your suggestion for
getting clean/renewable energy jobs and businesses in Glouster?
McManaway
Also to get Clean/Renewable energy in the Glouster Area, my suggestion is. This used to be a Coal mining Industry that provided energy for this area, as well as the rest of the country. I’m sure with the right incentives such as Tax Breaks Renewable Industries, examples of which are, wind, Solar, Geo Thermal could be enticed to come into this area. These Industries could provide jobs for people in this area.

Giroski:
One thing is to finish cleaning the community up like
x-mayor David Engle tried to do. And
work with some of the different groups Bridg
Builders, Block Watch, Trimble Towship Youth League,
and others as well as local schools and community college! To move forward and devolope
new IDEA’S
Drug abuse is a big issue in the county’s rural
communities. What should be done about it?
McManaway:
As for drugs, they are not only in our
Community but nearly everywhere, The police pick them up take them to Court,
and nothing much is done, I think until the Judges and prosecutors do more to incarserate instead of just handing out fines and Bonds,
its not going to slow down they have money to pay fines and Bonds. Drug Money. So their hands are slapped they are out and
ready to start over again.
Eberts:
Giroski:
Again Block Watch needs to move forward Help Bridge Builders get as hard as it is to
do get Council meeting full like they need to be so fresh ideas and more eyes
and ears to develope a better civic duty in ONES
