Rachel wants a family! Rachel is a pretty, friendly, and affectionate youngster who loves volleyball, basketball, playing on the jungle gym and listening to country music (especially Tim McGraw). Her favorite TV show is the Andy Griffith Show and her favorite video is Lion King II. She also likes to play board games like Monopoly and Sorry.
Rachel is always anxious to help out around the house and even does some chores without prompting. She attends counseling twice a month and takes medication to help stabilize her mood. Rachel is aware of and owns behaviors that she needs to work on and is in a structured school placement.
Rachel very much wants to be adopted so that she can have a permanent family to call her own. Rachel would do best as the youngest or only child ( as long as she has kids her age she can play with), and she enjoys family pets. Rachel has siblings that she has not been close to, but might like to keep in touch with through letters and photo updates.
Rachel needs a family that will help her work on personal boundaries and stand by her as she works through issues related to her past. Rachel is in the permanent custody of Athens County Children Services and is legally available for adoption. Subsidies are available.
