Personal Information

I favor Linux as my operating system for web related work, but have a deep understanding of both the Mac OS and MS Windows. Online since 1993 I have gained extensive knowledge of the internet, from Unix commands to todays flavor-of-the week(Flash, Shockwave, Javascript etc). Though lately I have been focusing on more back end cgi programming stuff rather than cool looking graphics. As a strong believer in the strength of Open Source Software, my prefered operating environment includes the use of Open Source tools such as the Apache Webserver, various versions of Linux, the emacs text editor, PERL , BASH, sed, awk python, and my favorite apache module PHP3 .

Short term goals include further development of my computer and internet skills through work in a challenging environment. Working where I can use my skills in a socially constructive manner, either through non-profit work or other community based or educational projects is also a goal.
