Attendance Policy

     Parents/guardians are requested to notify the school if their child will be absent from school.  Parents should call the school at 593-6866 before 9:05 a.m. or send a written notice with someone.  Authorized reasons for absence are as follows:  personal illness, serious illness in the family, quarantine of the home, observance of religious holiday, death in the family, personal family business which requires the presence of the student, military obligation, or any other reason authorized by the principal prior to day(s) of absence.  If the school does not receive notification of the student's absence, the school is required by law to notify the parents that the child is not in school.  This will be done by telephone if possible, otherwise, written notification will be mailed the day of the absence.
