RE: Monthly GIS Progress Report
Commissioners:
A progress report from Sanborn Colorado on our orthophoto/elevation
contours project is included with this report. Area 1 (SE quadrant)
US 50 East corridor is being delivered to Athens County and will be
reviewed. We anticipate all orthophotography to be delivered by the
end of the year and elevation contours by Spring.
ILGARD has finished the initial building of ArcView layouts for ten
townships and are working on the eleventh. They are printing and
checking each map through two ongoing quality control processes.
The latest version of the customized ArcView application has been
loaded on all computers in the Auditor's office. The annotation has
vastly improved the aesthetic quality of the maps. ILGARD has one
student working on quality control for all layers of annotation, and
another student keeping the splits up to date.
Our GIS Steering Committee meeting for November had to be cancelled.
The next meeting will be held January 16 at 10:00 A.M., in the ILGARD
conference room.

past six weeks and planned over the next similar time period. It also
contains information regarding important issues, procedures, action

Major Activities Completed:
Compilation of area 1 DTM started 9/03/02.

Compilation of Area 1 began on 9/2/02. Progress has been slow, and
is expected to delay the delivery of the orthoimagery by approximately
8 weeks from the original schedule. New delivery dates have been
identified in the status table. Also, an updated project schedule
has been outlined and provided with this status report.
