Our GIS Technical Users Committee met.  Darren continued
demonstration of the new 9.2 Version of ESRI ArcView.
 
Our GIS Steering Committee met. Darren is working with Ken in
transitioning the Auditor's parcel maintenance from ILGARD.
Ric reported on the City of Athens Ash Tree Inventory and Zoning
Map projects, and indicated they wish to begin to place their
fire hydrant testing data on a GIS layer.  Darren is continuing
to work with Bob on the Comprehensive Plan project and the Plan
will be available on our GIS ArcIMS Website, AthensGIS.com.
We discussed the idea of an Ohio University GIS being hosted
by ILGARD and joining Athens City and Athens County in our
Enterprise GIS.
 
Our new aerial photos will soon be taken and we will receive the
orthophotos within one year.  These photos are the same
resolution as our present photos and are provided to us by the
State of Ohio free of charge.
 
Our next GIS Technical User's Committee meeting will be held
April 19, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. in the ILGARD conference room.
Our next GIS Steering Committee meeting will be held May 17, 2007
at 10:00 A.M. in the ILGARD conference room.
